Dr. Catherine Stoner
Co-owner
Dr. Cat is a three-time Ohio State University graduate, finally culminating with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Today, she co-owns both Fredericktown Veterinary Clinic and Lilac Hill Veterinary Hospital. She has a special interest in small animal dermatology, endocrinology, senior pet care/hospice, and behavior. She and her husband have two little girls, one dog (Willy), and two cats (Monster and Kevin). Dr. Cat loves gardening, hiking, and bottle-raising foster kittens.
Libby Javurek
RVT/Practice Manager/Co-owner
Libby wears many hats – not only is she a co-owner and Practice Manager of Fredericktown Veterinary Clinic and Lilac Hill Veterinary Hospital, she is also a highly skilled technician with a passion for animal dentistry. Libby handles all the behind the scenes work involved with keeping the clinics running while at the same time using her many years of knowledge and experience to give the best care possible to all our patients. Whether it’s a chicken or a chihuahua, a sheep or a siamese, you can’t find an animal she isn’t comfortable handling. She has a special place in her heart for beagles and regularly fosters for a local beagle rescue. She and her husband have two boys and a whole crew of dogs, cats, ducks, and chickens. She relaxes at home by running, playing with her foster beagles, and chasing around her two active boys.
Dr. Kris Hamilton
DVM
Dr. Kris is a 2002 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. She has a special interest in small animal internal medicine, surgery, and wildlife medicine. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband watching their two sons, Cade and Brennan, play baseball. She has three dogs: Whitey (a Jack Russel), Nova (a Mix), and Cheeto (a Chihuahua).
Dr. Conner Thurman
Dr. Conner is from Macon, Missouri. He is a 2022 graduate from the Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and has an interest in both small and farm animal medicine. Outside of work, he likes trail running and enjoying a morning coffee with his wife, Victoria. In 2025, they welcomed their son and are so in love with him! Together they like going on walks with their dog, Podrick, who is a pit-mix from a shelter he used to volunteer/foster for. Dr. Conner is such an amazing resource, especially for our large animal clients, and we are so lucky to have him as part of our team!
Dr. Taylor Pfeifer
Dr. Taylor Pfeifer is a 2024 graduate from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is originally from Centerburg, Ohio and attended The University of Findlay for her undergraduate degree in 2020. She joined the Lilac family in 2024. Taylor has a passion for all animals and grew up horseback riding and participated in 4H and FFA showing pygmy goats, dogs, and horses. Her special interests include preventative medicine, feline medicine, and spay/neuter. She and her husband Matthew have two pets, a cat, Harvey and a corgi, Cooper. They enjoy going on trips to the beach together and being with friends and family.
Dr. Bella Merino
Dr. Bella is a 2025 graduate from The Ohio State Univeristy College of Veterinary Medicine. She has a passion for equine medicine including equine reproduction, equine wellness, and equine emergencies. She also is interested in small animal surgery and dentistry. She and her husband, Rory, have three cats (Nessie, Alice, and Joe) and one dog (Winnie). They enjoy building furniture together and spending time with family.
Rachel Lashley
RVT
Rachel has been part of the FVC family for three decades so she’s a very familiar face to many of you. She is also always a calming touch for our patients, taking the time to get to know each pet and make sure they are comfortable during their exams and during recovery from surgery. Rachel does an amazing job keeping up with product ordering and maintaining all our laboratory equipment in between assisting with appointments, surgeries, and large animal farm visits. When she’s not working hard here, she enjoys spending time with her husband (David), son and daughter-in-law (Ian and Kylie), granddaughter (Eden), grandson (Ori), and her many special pets.
Brenda Mack
RVT
Brenda is a Registered Veterinary Technician who graduated from the Columbus Technical Institute in 1983, giving her an amazing 25+ years of experience! Her special interests include surgery, dentistry, and patient care. She has been married to her husband Chris for 33 years and has 2 grown sons named Cameron and Cyle. She shares her home with 2 rescue Toy Poodles named Curly and Goldie. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors enjoying pleasant weather, vacationing, and volunteering with the kids at her church.
Brittanie Piar

Originally from Howard, Brittanie is a Bradford School graduate who currently resides in Mt. Vernon with her girlfriend, Kelley, son, Brayden, step-daughter, Tru, and daughter Raelynn. She also is the proud owner of a mini-zoo full of pets that take up a big spot in her heart (and most of her free-time!). Brittanie loves going on farm calls, assisting with surgeries, and performing lab work. She has a special interest in small animal behavior, ICU cases, and fostering kittens. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, teaching majorettes, and spending time with her family.
Lexie Lyons
Vet Assistant
Lexie is a Clear Fork grad who is now working on her Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology while at the same time working at FVC as both a receptionist and assistant. Lexie loves how every day is different in a mixed animal practice, one day she is out on farm calls assisting with cows, goats, and horses, the next day she may be helping out the other veterinarians and technicians during surgeries, and the next day be setting up diagnostics and getting lab work started for a sick dog or cat. Thankfully for us, she is a great help no matter where she is needed! Lexie enjoys spending time with her son, Weston, and many pets – especially Lemon!
Kelley Stoutenburg
Vet Assistant
Kelley is from Mount Vernon and lives there with her family – both two and four-legged. She has a passion for helping anxious dogs feel comfortable in the clinic setting and has a special place in her heart for German Shepherds particularly. She loves spending time with friends and family.

Elizabeth is a veterinary assistant and a self-described boy-mom from Bellville! She loves her feisty kitties and sweet dogs Atticus and Diesel. She enjoys being outside and adventuring in her free time.

Deb grew up in Fredericktown and currently resides on a farm in Mount Vernon with her husband and two daughters and many pets/pasture pets! She loves arts and crafts, specifically craft shows, and is active in local FFA and 4H groups. Her passion is rescue kitties and helping with local rescues.
